Sumpter Bookkeeping & Consulting was founded in 2023 to provide specialized financial and advisory services for the food and beverage industry. Our firm helps facilitate the missing link between hospitality operations and financial management, offering tailored solutions that address the unique challenges faced by independent restaurant owners, multi-unit operators, and wholesalers.
With extensive experience across both hospitality and finance, we understand the realities of daily restaurant operations as well as the complexities of scaling multi-location businesses. This dual perspective allows us to deliver insights that go beyond the numbers, helping our clients make informed, proactive decisions that improve profitability and long-term stability.
As a fully remote firm, we serve clients across multiple states, giving us a broad view of industry trends and best practices nationwide. Whether its bookkeeping, cash flow advising, fractional CFO services, or consulting, our mission is to empower food and beverage businesses with clarity, strategy, and confidence in their financial future.
Kristina Sumpter — Co-Owner
When I became a mom, I thought that would be enough — and for a while, it was. But as I grew into motherhood, I realized that being just a mom wasn’t my whole story. I had a deeper calling: to help others, to build something of my own, and to show my daughter what it looks like to chase your purpose while showing up with love at home.
That call led me to create Sumpter Bookkeeping & Consulting, where I bring together over 20 years of experience in both hospitality and finance. From bartending and managing restaurants to directing finance for multi-unit groups, I’ve lived the challenges my clients face — and now I get to help them navigate those same challenges with clarity and confidence.
To the moms (and dads) building businesses during nap time, making big decisions between school pickups, and balancing it all — I see you. It’s okay to want both. It’s okay to be both: a parent and a boss. You don’t have to choose.

When I’m not crunching numbers or helping clients find clarity, you’ll usually find me in my midlife granny era — baking bread, playing tennis, or getting lost in a good book. These little joys keep me grounded and remind me that life, just like business, is all about finding the right rhythm.

As co-owner of Sumpter Bookkeeping & Consulting, I bring a background in oil, gas, and electrical work — industries that taught me the value of hard work, precision, and resilience. While my role in the business is more behind-the-scenes, I know firsthand what it takes to run a company, balance responsibilities, and support the people who matter most.
I’m also a proud dad, and like Kristina, I believe in showing up fully at home and at work. Outside the office, you’ll usually find me outdoors — hunting, fishing, or soaking up the Idaho wilderness. I’m a lifelong sports fanatic, always ready for a game of softball or golf. And when it comes to baseball, there’s no question where my loyalty lies: Go Astros! ⚾.
